After not being picked in the 2011 NFL Draft, Abdul-Quddus was the only rookie free agent to make the team out of camp and has become a solid contributor both on special teams and in the defensive backfield, impressing coaches with both his contributions in the kicking game and ability to be around the ball on defense and make plays. The former Fordham University standout appeared in 15 games with three starts at free safety in 2012, recording 36 tackles (24 solo), two interceptions, eight passes defensed and one fumble recovery. His career totals include 45 tackles (29 solo), two interceptions, 10 passes defensed, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, as well as 20 stops and two forced fumbles on special teams.

COLLEGE – A two-year starter in the defensive backfield for Fordham and had four-year totals of 193 tackles, including 12 stops for a loss and three sacks…Also intercepted three passes and added 10 passes defensed…As a senior, led team with 78 tackles, forced three fumbles and had six passes defensed…As a junior, started all 11 games at cornerback and recorded 58 tackles, three interceptions and five pass breakups, while also forcing two fumbles…Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.

PERSONAL - Prepped at Union (N.J.) HS where he was first team All-County and second team All-State as a senior, making over 100 tackles in both his senior and junior seasons…A regular visitor to the pediatric ward of Ochsner Medical Center…Participated in Rebuilding Together’s “Kickoff to Rebuild” event prior to Super Bowl XLVII in Algiers, where he assisted in painting the front of several rehabilitated houses and served as a celebrity judge for a barbeque competition…Born Aug 3, 1989.
