NFL CAREER – After playing college football at three colleges and further developing his skills in two seasons with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts, Marcus Ball secured a Saints roster spot with his performance in the preseason. In his first NFL campaign, he appeared in 12 games with two starts and posted 12 defensive tackles and seven special teams stops.

2014 – After being inactive for the first four games (hamstring), Ball appeared in the next 12 contests and recorded 12 tackles (six solo) and seven special teams stops.
COLLEGE – Two-year letterman (2009-10) at Memphis after playing at Pearl River (Miss.) Junior College in 2008 and at Florida State from 2006-07…Played in 32 games for the Tigers and Seminoles and recorded career totals of 145 tackles, five interceptions, one sack, one fumble recovery and 13 passes defensed.
PERSONAL – Prepped at Stephenson (Stone Mountain, Ga.) HS where he was a four-star player and the nation’s third-ranked OLB according to Rivals.com…First-team All-State selection by the Georgia Sportswriters Association who named him Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year after recording 150 tackles and three interceptions as a senior…In two seasons for the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts, finished with 142 tackles, seven sacks, four interceptions with two returned for touchdowns and five special teams tackles…In 2013, he pitched in with 69 tackles, three interceptions, one for a touchdown and four sacks…Born July 21, 1987 in Norfolk, Va.
