After starting his career with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2009 and facing the Saints in Super Bowl XLIV, Humber came to New Orleans towards the end of the 2010 season and for the past four seasons has been a special teams standout, while contributing on defense. The North Dakota State product has appeared in 63 career games with eight starts, tallying 71 tackles (42 solo), 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble and 52 special teams stops. Humber comes off a season where he saw extensive action on both defense and special teams, tying a career-high with 24 stops, (17 solo), 0.5 sack and one pass defense, while adding nine coverage stops.

Appeared in both postseason games with one start and made seven stops (five solo) and one special teams tackle…Saw action on both defense and special teams in opener vs. Atlanta, Sept. 8, recording a pass defense and coverage stop…Played on defense and special teams at Chicago, Oct. 6, making two stops and two special teams tackles…Posted two stops and also played on special teams vs. Buffalo, Oc. 27…Started at ILB and recorded five tackles (four solo) vs. San Francisco, Nov. 17…Recorded two solo tackles on defense and two special teams stops (one solo) at Seattle, Dec. 2…Posted one special teams stop and recovered an onside kick at St. Louis, Dec. 15...Recovered an onside kick for the second consecutive week at Carolina, Dec. 22…Added a defensive tackle and saw action on special teams vs. Tampa Bay, Dec. 29…Opened at OLB, his first career postseason start, in NFC Divisional Playoff at Seattle, 1/11/14, and also saw action on special teams, recording a postseason career-high seven tackles (five solo). 2012 – After re-signing with the Saints in training camp, appeared in 13 games, primarily on special teams, and finished tied for second on club with 14 coverage stops, his most in a Black and Gold uniform…Led special teams units with a career-high four stops vs. San Diego, Oct. 7…Registered two special teams stops at Tampa Bay, Oct. 21…Made two special teams tackles at Denver, Oct. 28…Made one special teams tackle at Dallas, Dec. 23. 2011 – After being waived at the preseason’s conclusion, returned to the Saints in late September and appeared in 13 games with three starts and recorded 24 tackles, a sack, a pass defense and eight special teams stops…Appeared in both postseason contests and registered a special teams tackle in NFC Wild Card Playoff vs. Detroit, 1/7/14…Started vs. N.Y.
